The Brief

Italian food delivery start-up GODO had it all: a Michelin-star chef, a stellar cast of suppliers, a delivery team of handsome Vespa-riding Italians, razor-sharp tech and the sexiest food this side of Milan. What they needed was someone to tell their story to London customers and help with the ongoing finessing of wine lists and menus, customer and corporate comms, app and web copy.

Our Approach

At launch, GODO had plenty to shout about. They presented us with the whole lot – their biogs, background, press releases, mission statements, design briefs and menus – and we dug out the nuggets that would appeal to their customers: desk-bound, sandwich-weary Londoners in the City and the West End, who just want a good lunch.

What We Delivered

As well as telling stories and writing menus that would get food-savvy customers jumping online to order, we used our knowledge of the London market to translate concepts brought over from Italy into language they’d understand. As the service bedded in, we became the GODO’s copywriting wing, providing good-quality, cost-effective copy wherever it was needed: menus, wine lists, blogs and customer mail-outs, as well as corporate presentations, sales documents, job specs and staff handbooks.
